horse breeds

Horses are amazing creatures . They can run miles with a human on there back and  jump over fences . For thousands  of years horses have been loyal to humans ,but some humans don’t treat horses properly like Samson a horses at Harrogatehills  he was one of the  horses who are friends with the race horses and that calm them and keep them from getting to hipper but Samson was not treated well so now his hooves are too long .

    Thoroughbred : oh the races the cheering, the thunder of the horses hooves but the main thing is not the jockey not the trainer but it’s the horse . The nimble young yearling with strong legs and muscles . Two of the fastest racehorses ever were  “Secretariat”  half a mille in 47seconds.

     Quarter horse : The quarter horse is called the quarter horse cause they are the fastest horse that can run the QUARTER mile. They have bigger hind quarters (bottoms).

   Draft horses : Draft horses have a big heavy ,strong body .They are built to pull heavy things . They have big stocky and very strong legs.

   Mustangs : Mustangs are wild horses they live in numbers of places but cowboy are caching them or selling them for money .the lives in bands of 6 or 7 with one stallion and all the others are mares or foals.
